Victoria Bailey Cooley


Victoria B Cooley was born in Nantucket, MA in 1962 but has lived in Sarasota, FL for most of her life.  After graduating with a BFA from Ringling School of Art and Design in 1986, she started exhibiting regularly throughout the northeast.  As she raised her 3 children, she remained active in the arts with mural painting, greeting card design, annual one-person exhibits in her native Nantucket, and operating her own gallery in Towles Court, Sarasota.

Victoria's other artistic experiences include:  Advanced Drawing and Painting Instructor for Youth Programs at Ringling School of Art and Design,  guest lecturer at Booker High and Ringling School of Art and Design, designer for “A John Ringling Celebration” –exhibit of John Ringling memorabilia for Selby Library League Centennial Celebration,  owner and operator of Whimsical Walls Mural Painting, Chairperson for “Small Works Juried Exhibit”: Towles Court Artist Colony, judge for Siesta Sand Sculpting Contest, Secretary/Treasurer and PR Representative for Towles Court Artist Colony.

Some of her group exhibitions include Stratton Mountain Arts Festival, Tilting at Windmills Gallery, James Hunt Barker Galleries : Nantucket,  MA., Palm Beach, FL, Selby Botanical Gardens, Sarasota Women’s Resource Center, Parade of Prize Winners at Longboat Key Art Center,  Chasen Galleries in Sarasota, “Bloomers” Exhibit at Manatee Arts Center.
